Chapter 5


Middle Age of Life

Now that Gilut was no longer young, he has been reflecting on life more.
He has had a hut within the Mighty BattleRagers of Thera for quick a few years.
He was inducted several years ago by the drillmaster of Battle. He made a
promise to Brizlin that he would live out all his life or give his last breathe for
the village. Gilut had always intent this, but to promise it out loud made it official.
For when Gilut makes a promise he sticks to it.

Additionally, Gilut has lost some friends to death. Prior to getting a hut, Gilut
did not have friends. He only had enemies and a purpose that did not involve
others. Gilut is currently struggling with these deaths. For Kallagos took his own life,
as did Ieralaine. Ieralaines ending of his own life has hit Gilut hard. For Gilut looked
up to Ieralaine and for Ieralaine to end on it on his own before it was meant to be
over has been hard on Gilut. The last friend Gilut has lost was Pishuk. For Pishuk
taught Gilut a lot and Gilut learned there was more to the village then just smashing
skulls. These deaths have all effected Gilut, but he must press on.

Lastly, Gilut has been reflecting on his spiritual life. He was sought out Lord Akresius
to discuss victory, but the Lord has been busy. For Gilut will keep trying but does not
expect the Lord to answer someone so insignificant as he. Gilut seeks Lord Akresius
because he believes that combat is beautiful and man must always strive for victory.
in combat. For to achieve the ultimate victory, Gilut must win the one on one victories
that beautiful combat allows. Gilut however has never controlled his rage. He will
seek victory at all cost and seeks the Lords advice on this. Gilut thinks that Lord Akresius
may not see eye to eye with Gilut on this. Gilut aims to find out as he is a Battlerager
Berserker and his rage has aiding him in victory more than once. The one additional
thing he hopes to find out is where his arch-enemy Haro is.
