A brush with Tyranny, the whisper in the ear of a warlord.

Passing along through more pages you can tell the development of the pen
strokes has again increased.
There are lots of notes about enemies and fighting styles, forms that magi
can take, and other trivial observations and scattered thoughts. Something
however catches your eye:

"The one known as the Enlilth has taken notice of the war. This day much
blood has been shed.
The front is ever changing but I do not believe that the imperials have what
it takes to keep this up.
Our kin are overwhelmed in numbers but as Fate has told we rise stronger and
harder from the trials we face. Mockingly the Enlilth speaks to me as if I
fear death or failure. I cannot, for there is no room for such idle thoughts
when I know the truth. As I rise again and fall their great Emperor the
Enlilth has changed its stance on my path. Words like honey pour forth but I
can smell the concealed poison. They seek to have an abomination rise and I
cannot allow that to transpire. Enlilth offers me the power that no one can
wield. Why? What new devilry is this? Why is the dark power offering me
anything? It is a test of Fate, a trick the one has sprung? I will not fall
for such empty promises. Enlilth sees in me something no other has been able
to pierce, but I will not be swayed with soft words and high promises.
I am Reborn, and Fate is my only master now. If the dark Enlilth has plans
for me then I trust in my path, Fate will always find a way."
