Chapter 5

The Parade

One day, Juudsnelf was standing around with all of the other Yardlings.It
was Stand-O-Clock, which was a time of the day when everybody stood around to
strenghthen their standing muscles.

Suddenly, a parade arrived.

One of the Yardlings said "What is this, some kind of gay parade?"
Juudsnelf audibly agreed "Yeah, come on!"

To which another Yardling interrupted, "No my fellow Yardlings, it's the
Gypsie Queen!"

The Yardlings love the Gypsie Queen so much that they all started singing.
None of them were singing the same songs, so it sounded absolutely terrible.

The queen got out of her wagon and stated "I'm the queen, here to be mean."

Everybody cheered.

She walked up and down the rows of gypsies in the Yard clan, smacking each
one as she went by. After each slap, she was met by abrupt applause that
that lasted half of a second, before each gypsie quieted to see what she
would do next. It was as if none of them could predict her next movement,
even though it was always the same.

Eventually, she slapped Juudsnelf. He was so ecstatic, he began to cry. He
didn't know what it was about this gypsie queen, but something about her hand
slapping his face overflowed him with joy. It was then that he knew what he
had to do, he had to go thank the queen for slapping him blue.


Juudsnelf waited until nightfall and snuck into the queen's tent. He let out
a loud gasp when he saw Yerd Yard, son of Yurd Yard, and the queen. Except
they were one in the same. Yerd Yard, son of Yurd Yard, was taking off his
queen outfit right as Juudsnelf had walked in.

Crying, Juudsnelf ran out of the tent. He knew something was not right about
the gypsie order when Yerd Yurd Yardy Yard could be the leader of a gypsie
faction as well as a queen, even though Juudsnelf was pretty sure "son of
Yurd" meant Yard Yurd (of Yurd) Yard was a boy.

He was determined to get to the bottom of the situation.
