A discovery of sorts

Still shuddering from the affects of the spores growing in his mind,
Mahendorin was greeted by Kyaltaru, a bard of the Island, who
introduced him to a friend of his, a freezing mist elemental.

Shuddering now from the affects of the freezing temperature wrought by the
creature, Mahendorin concentrated on protecting himself from the elements and
gave his ear to the elemental.

The elemental spoke of a forest cousin who had fled into the cities,
having loved Order. Intuigied, Mahendorin paid close attention, for he lacked
in friends who had found solace in the forests of Thera, and he desired company,
being the last of his clan, a sole, and lonely, survivor.

The elemental said, when Mahendorin was ready, he would find her. Ready? How
could he be ready? How could he know when he was ready? His body was
wearing out, and little could be done to undo it.
