Not a Fan of the Village People

The dwarf took a deep draught of his ale and sighed in contentment.
A thick bead of foam remained curled among his beard as he continued to
tell his tale.

"Aye, burned me village, those mages did. Right down to th' bloody ground.
Killed our womenfolk," he continued. I decided now would be a poor time to
remind him that dwarven women were difficult to tell apart from dwarven men,
and he went on. "our menfolk, even the wee little ones. I was nae nearby,
else I'd have likely fell as well, tryin' to save what I bloody could."

I asked if he intended to join the Village of the BattleRagers, then, as
his story sounded the classic tale of magic gone bad and the need to destroy
it.

"BattleRagers! Hah!" he took another long draught, emptying the mug, and then
frowned as if insulted by the sudden dearth of beverage. "I'll nae be joinin'
those bloody fools while there be breath left in me body!"

I did not understand, and told him so.

"Aye lad, of course ye wouldnae understand. I ain't bloody finished me story
yet! Now, howsabout some more ale?"
