A Hint of Whispers (in a Tavern)

"The usual." Said the gnome as he poised himself over the barstool.

"Are you fine, Dngagus ? You seem a bit pale." asked the bartender as he efortlessly poured the drink

The gnome shuffled a little in his place, obviously jittery and with pathetic
pretence refuted the bartender's question claiming his own wellness.

"Well, seems like you've seen a ghost or perhaps the Nightmare Woman.." chuckled the bartender as he passed on the drink.

"The Nightmare woman?" said the gnome as he sipped the drink, obvious delight appearing on his face.

"Oh, don't you know? She was spotted down the road. The children of the city
were pelting stones at her and tied all sorta stuff to her hair while she was
asleep. The poor wench, she is almost bald too. Far from a pretty sight." came the reply.

The bartender paused slightly, placing aside the glasses he was cleaning and
leaned over to the gnome. "Some of the men thought she was'a witch." he whisperd.

The gnome took in the conversation if well-faked shock and surprise. Inquiring about her whereabouts.

The bartender resumed his work, shrugging slightly.

With a brief but awefully silent pauses the replied "Some have spotted her lingerning near the Temple of Lady Yean."

The gnome quickly bounced off his stool, placing two coins of gold on the bar and made his way through the crowd towards the door.

The bartender wrinkled his eyebrows a bit in surprise.

"Seems I shocked the poor lad" He uttered to another customer, chuckling to himself.
