The test...

Months later...

After months of preparation the Master has finally
begun the process that should allow him to observe his pets
reactions to his new settings. How will the broken minded man
adapt to society, so we shall see.

Drevin is blindfolded then for the first time in ten years
is ushered out of the room of his confinement. A look of
abject horror on his face for he has known nothing else.
He begs like a child for his master to beat him, do anything,
just don't take him from his home.
The next thing Drevin knows is that he is dumped
on a long stretch of road and the wagon pulls away quickly,
leaving him shackled and blind. Suddenly the shackles and
blindfold dissolve away showing him the great outdoors.
Travellers stare at the man curiously as he scoots to the
side of the road and cowers in fear at the huge forbidding
sky, his mind experiencing a visual overload he wails in
fear and anguish for his master. Finally Drevin comes to
the realization that he has been abandoned, betrayed by the
one person who "loved" him. A fiery rage bubbles to the
surface at such a betrayal. His stunted mind unable to
comprehend anything but the loss of the one person he truly
"cared" for. An inhuman growl escapes his throat followed
quickly by a childlike giggle as he gets to his feet and
starts to skip down the road towards his new life in this
brave new world.
