790, Introducing CF Flyers!
Posted by Kastellyn on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
For those of you who haven't seen them yet, Ordasen created some CF Flyers that are now available for viewing (and printing) on our Marketing Webpage (http://www.carrionfields.com/Marketing.html). Yet another way to promote the game! Why not print out a few and post them on a bulletin board at your school or library? Or slap a few up on a telephone pole, brick wall, boarded up house, subway platform or mailbox?

Remember, there's no such thing as bad publicity! And these are some pretty kick-ass flyers!
799, You should add a flyer option to the sidebar poll. nt

798, Don't listen to them...

Short, sweet, and to the point.

I like it!

I do hope someone is working on flyers for the rest of the cabals. That's just good grooviness. I don't know if going as far as guilds, or areas (explore) or even immortals is pushing it a little too far, but the cabals are definitely a groovy idea.

I don't like the idea of adding much or anything to them. It leaves the imagination open for curiousity(sp) which will give people that itch they just can't seem to scratch until they check it out.

In short... Very nice.

The fliers are nice but they may seem like political/sect/extremist group propaganda. You need more stuff on there, like.."enter a realm of magic, war, treachery and deceit!-An online FREE adventure game!"
800, This is exactly right.

This is 7 years of marketing experience, and a bachelors degree talking. Those fliers are too ambiguous to produce results. The proposed phrase is good, but personally I'd leave off "FREE." I might find some other word to replace it with like ... "volunteer run, non-profit." The word "free" and a web address seems like every scam that ever asked for my Visa number.

The artistic concept of the flier is right on - but I guess its true that maybe they should be a little more printer friendly.
794, They seem a little ambiguous

The second one seems like it's for a militant religious group, except in real life, as opposed to Maran. The third one looks like it would attract cult-follower wanna-be's and goth kids. The first one seems ok. Could we put any kind of reference to it being a link to a game on the other two?
795, No way!!

Dont change the third one. I want to see who I can attract with that. Im gonna plaster the U of C with them.
793, Who the hell made those?
Posted by Lightmage on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Awesome. I want a poster of that third one. How much????
797, They're free.

Just "save as" and print them off. They're meant to be used as advertising material.
792, Also...

Some resizing so they print on a standard letter page without having to mess with them might be in order... for our less technical (or as I like to call them... generationAIM) mudders.
791, Nice, but...

Hey somebody had to complain. They're kickass flyers and look cool as ####, but.... too much black doesn't translate well for printing in my experience. The Skull one in particular is so dark that I can't imagine it will actually look decent when printed (not to mention the insane amounts of ink usage). Perhaps make some lighter flavor ones us poor mudders can print off a lot and post them all over? Also... color is good, although of course... black and white is more the games style, so I'm undecided whether or not I'm comlaining about that.
