Carrion Fields Store : http://www.cafepress.com/carrionfields
The Inn Store: http://www.cafepress.com/eternalstarinn

Hey everybody!

We set up a new shop to provide a wider variety of shirts and
items which you can purchase for yourself (with a couple bucks
from each purchase going to keep CF alive).

So take a gander at the shirts, mugs, etc and buy one today!

Cafepress is running a sale on the jerseys and baseball caps
through the weekend, so if you want either you need to order
now! Look for the red sale icon.

A big Thank You to Amaranthe for her work with the graphics.

Maybe a button on the main page on the navigation bar linking to one or both of these stores would be a good idea, be a bit more streamlined than the current ways of accessing the store from this site. Not really a necessity, but it'd look maybe a little more professional. Not sure how permanent these stores either?

The steins look great. Only thing I really really would love to see that you don't have so far is a CF based suede or leather bomber jacket or jacket in general. Would seem to go good with the baseball jersey and hat.

As far as the bumber sticker, I'm getting one but I don't put those on my car...trying to think of somewhere to display it without having to actually mar my car with a bumper sticker...thoughts?

This I'm not sure about. Since I didn't see it listed in the
setup, I'm leaning toward 'not yet'.

If they offered jackets, we'd sure sell them. I believe they
rotate products throughout the year, so we might see something
like that come the fall.

You should have a bumper sticker contest (you may have already, I am not well versed in the forums anymore):

"Wanna group?"

"Why are you following me? I don't know any areas."

"I am Ryu - A Legend of the Fields"

"Who put these %:@##ing centurions here?!"

I have some ideas for t-shirts..

"Someone has summoned you!"
"A sudden pain erupts through your skull."

and for a bumper sticker i would like to have in my bedroom...

"The herbs look more plentiful here."

"Mongoose is ####"

"call garble cop"

"Embrace the Darkness"

"How do the horseshaped ones move again?" - or whatever that quote is

"By which name do you wish to be mourned?"

"I kill-...ok, I hit Istendil"

"Entropy Lich in-training"

and finally in ode to the Archives of Dio's

"Cador slays you!"

"Canoe-whacking, it's cheaper than Dating"

"Lifes a bitch, then you unghost"

"If your close enough to read this, I hope you have return potions"

345, Would anyone actually use these?
Posted by Valguarnera on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
At least a small part of our design idea was to come up with items that wouldn't look too nerdly out in public. For example, you'd know that the Inn stein was a CF reference, but anyone who saw it on your shelf would probably just think it's a bar you've been to. "Be glad this isn't the Eastern Road" is funny to CFers, but most passersby would figure you're just referring to some other place. Deathfull hat? That's funny even if you don't know the CF-related story.

Around the right crowd, they tell a funny little story. Around the wrong crowd, they quietly camouflage.

A bumper sticker about return potions... well that's going to be on your car at all times, and it's pretty likely to get negative attention from the subset of the population in backward baseball caps and T-shirts that say "No Fat Chicks". Now, while I'm confident that my nerdly little hobby is infinitely more interesting than whatever NASCAR-based entertainment they have going on this weekend, I'm not sure I want to wave the nerdly flag in their face.

Posted by Sailatinu on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I really like the lunchbox, various shirts and the bumper sticker..
Though I think you need some more PK oriented stuff! (Even to the point of having someone in your pk or something.. perhaps some market square work! :)

I really like the store though, as soon as I can justify my monetary spending, I'll likely be picking up some stuff!

I remember a post in the first official forum from Andy Smith (old scare-abouts hehehe)with an idea for boxers with a demon coming out of the front ermm...erm..."opening" saying something like "You Dare Disturb Me???!". Dont know if the idea could get used now that you are dealing with all this stuff.

P.D. Yes my memory is weird like that.
P.D.D. I think more web info around the forums and site about the merchandise would be useful like a colorfoul link or something.

in Brasil.. but im always lazy to learn how to do it. Perhaps
its not as difficult as im thinking.

good work there guys. I have a suggestion: what about create
the logs of each cabal, so we could have more options to
choose from.

You'll need a credit card. That's the hardest part.
Brazil is available as a shipping destination in the
list of countries. I'm not sure how quickly they can
deliver or how much it would cost, but at least the
option is there.

Thanks! We're discussing more offerings with the logos from
individual cabals. Keep checking back!

I posted this I thought but perhaps it got lost. Anyway, great store, great stuff, will certainly buy plenty.

But...

In the description on the site it says "...very unique..." cf items.

You can't be very unique. Or a little unique. Either something is or is not unique. :P
329, Where?
Posted by Yanoreth on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
I don't see "very unique" in any of our blurbs about the new stores. The announcement says "visit ... to buy unique CF items." Where is this "very unique" you object to?

It was corrected. Evidently my first post did go through, someone read it, and changed it. I feel so usefull!

As long as we're being nitpicky and wordsmithing, I might also suggest putting the dash in built-in rather than the way it currently is as one word, builtin.

Also, I just bought a bunch of stuff, so thanks. Not sure what I'm going to do with some of it, but there you have it...

Yep, I also fixed that in the web site marketing blurb.

Easy, Shakespeare. :P

Much appreciated, by the way. Every bit helps.

Easy, Shakespeare. :P

From the Oxford English Dictionary:

Built
...
1.b. built-in: (a) constructed to form an integral part of a larger unit, esp. of the fittings or appurtenances of a house; (b) fig. inherent, integral, innate.

Shakespear's got nothin' on me, bub. :P

And you're welcome on the stuff I bought. My only problem is I don't know anyone else who plays, so I have no-one to laugh with or share it with, and indeed people look at me funny when I chuckle over "Be glad this isn't the Eastern Road."

If they ever offer them, we'll sell them.

I suspect on-demand logo'd knit caps would be hard to do,
but we're on your side they'd be cool.

E-mail me suggestions. I'm not sure where it'll fall on the
list, but if people buy stuff from the shop I'm sure we'd
put more effort into getting some cabal-specific gear.

Most if the items were designed in a flurry this weekend. We can apply current designs to available items as demmand requires fairly easily.

Battle or other cabal items are being considered. As we gauge demmand and consider clever witticisms, I'm sure I'll throw together a few more that are aimed towards cabals or more specific subsets of the playerbase.

Those things are kind of pricy but I can try.

The hooded sweatshirt or the jr hoodie?
Deathfull, Inn logo or CF logo (with or without words)?
Front-center, front-pocket, back, combo?

At the moment CafePress doesn't offer black clothes (something
about their color process I think), but the moment they do we'll
be taking care of the tough guy/goth crowd too.

We're crediting Zulg with the bumper sticker, but I'm glad to
hear someone liked Amaranthe's 'newbie gear' as much I did.
For anyone who didn't notice, the newbie clothes have colorful
ABCs and 123s through the CF logo.
