1581, The Spirit of a Quest.
Posted by Lyristeon on Wed 31-Dec-69 07:00 PM
Quests are for everyone to enjoy. We do them so that all players, immortals included, can have some fun and give out rewards to give your character something to remember them by.
When a quest is offered, the spirit of the quest is to do the quest. The quests that are hard-coded in the game require you to take the appropriate steps to complete the quest. The quest is considered unsuccessful if you do not take the proper steps.
Quests that are run by an immortal are to be given the same consideration. It is understood that a player who has been playing for a longer amount of time will have an advantage on figuring out the clues to a quest. But, the steps still need to be taken to complete the quest. If the quest is to kill the mob, you must go kill the mob. If the quest is to find a mob, object or place, you must go find the mob, object or place.
Using past knowledge as your proof that you have found a mob, object or place does not mean you have completed the quest. In most cases, it will just disqualify you from receiving the rewards for the quest. It is very easy to find these things out as an immortal.
The point of this post is that you need to take part in the quest to keep things on an even playing field for everyone and to abide by the spirit of the quest.
