We've rejected a number of code changes that would make this information more intuitive than it presently is. The goal is a system that can rapidly answer a specific question ("Did this guy just hook up his lowbie?") but is terrible for "browsing".

We also subdivide the total information available, and only IMPs have the full set of tools. Finally, as we tell new staff: It's safe to assume that disk space is cheap and therefore it pays to log tons of crap, so no one should be doing things that they wouldn't want to have an IMP ask them about.
