8718, Can't cancel protection

I'm neutral and had protection from good up, so I tried to cancel it and get protection from evil up for what I was about to fight. Cancellation didn't appear to even try to cancel that effect. It got everything else. Even a non-cancellable effect showed up and was unaffected, but protection from good didn't appear in that list once across many attempts.
