7047, Keyboard Input?

Okay, major problem here...
I telnet into Carrion Fields, but at the name prompt my computer refuses to input anything I typed. Running under Win XP, basic MSDOS telnet.

No one else is reporting this problem, and it's not something we can diagnose.
One thing to check is that the text might be being input, but isn't visible on the screen. (There should be a "local echo" option on Telnet.)
