I tried to cut out the unnecessary stuff, but I may have missed some.

The problem seems to be that I tried to move underwater without gills/water breathing up, then renewed gill growth. After renewing gill growth, I start to asphyxiate. To compensate I quaffed a potion of water breathing, but I still kept drowning. I stopped drowning when I finally surfaced on the Aryth.

So.. Bug?

Thanks!

You weren't underwater anylonger. So you started to die of asphyxiation because you had gills.
