The Treasure Room
A heap of shining gold lies here. Rubies, Sapphires, Diamonds, enough to
make you the King of even Galadon, were there such a thing. With this
much gold, however, you could afford to buy your own Hamsah caravel. As you
step towards the treasure, you notice that the small man is watching you
intently. Turning to face him, you ask why he stares at you so. His only
answer is to attack you!
Your muscles freeze up, and you can't do anything!
Mordeth steps out of the shadows.
Mordeth fades into existence.

You can't learn the nuances of teleport since Mordeth is immune to your attack!

1) You can't learn any ability if you're currently fighting something you can't hurt with your present attack.
2) You can cast Teleport in combat, although it does nothing.

Looking at this, it seems the person *cast* teleport, and then because of the room they arrived in, got attacked and could not improve on the skill.

Teleport will now check right before the movement happens, instead of in the default place.
