Wielding a bow still triggered shield of electricity to my sad demise.

Why wouldn't it?
24739, Why would it?

Two reasons why it shouldn't:
1-arrows material
2-distance from invoker as a ranged weapon

Always wondered this as well - you could make the argument that lightning can hit stuff but it seems like you’re not holding an arrow so it should bypass things like electrification or the healers blade shields, or things like charge set with polearms since you’re at a distance and not holding the item that impacts the target.

For the same reason that someone using a dagger can hit someone using a bow. The CF version of bow use requires combat in close quarters.

If however that should change I have a great role with ample use of the words PEW PEW PEW.

Technically "Lightning" can hit more than one location with lethality.

While not as common as the other types of lightning injuries, people caught in “streamers” are at risk of being killed or injured by lightning. Streamers develop as the downward-moving leader approaches the ground. Typically, only one of the streamers makes contact with the leader as it approaches the ground and provides the path for the bright return stroke; however, when the main channel discharges, so do all the other streamers in the area. If a person is part of one of these streamers, they could be killed or injured during the streamer discharge even though the lightning channel was not completed between the cloud and the upward streamer.
