I issued the outfit command and got outfitted with fine leather leggings despite having been wearing black leather leggings. I also failed the academy quest so it shouldn't be fine anyway.
I also noticed that the corded, griffon-maned whip. I was carrying disappeared too. I have a suspicion but I would like to make sure that
the disappearance is legitimate and not a bug.
The following is the log that made me realize I'm missing my black leather leggings:

It doesn't show me you having them up to when you didn't have them.
A million things could happen between those.
I don't even know if you died between those.
