To be honest I attacked this mob for ages with no sleeves, body or bracers and it hardly works. Seeing the skill lasts 8-10hrs and you need rain or mud etc to use it, the skill really seems quite poor.

Smear Mud reduces the severity of kote/kan, but doesn't (necessarily) result in a miss or eliminate the chance of an extra powerful attack.
