It seems to be bartering away the top item in my inventory even when I'm not entering any barter commands. I figure it has something to do with the word "for" being in the name of the skill.

Thanks.
23980, Seems fine.

You are carrying:
an axe with a blade of opal

Maybe not great/fine, some people pointed out I misread this.

So you want to practice it normally without bartering.

I admit that seems tricky if you want to use the full name:

p "tooth for a tooth"
The High Priestess of Destruction tells you 'That trade is not worth my while.'

p "eye for an eye"
The High Priestess of Destruction tells you 'That trade is not worth my while.'

p 'eye for an eye'
The High Priestess of Destruction tells you 'That trade is not worth my while.'

p 'tooth for a tooth'
The High Priestess of Destruction tells you 'That trade is not worth my while.'

So the quickfix is just to use bargaining items for practicing these.

Otherwise I'll try to figure this out but it appears extra tricky to me.
