Shield bash hits through bash protection? If a shapeshifter is controlling his translucence so he cant be bashed, why should an enlarged storm giant be able to bash you with his shield?

Is this a bug? I hope so. As it it an enlarged storm paladin shield ded can outlag and outmelee an offense shifter grizzly bear.

I've added Wraithform to this check as well, since that is how we handle Bash.

Seems like the right call, but still... Ouch for shield deds.

Because shield bash is not bash. Also, it's unique to shield deds which don't get much love after wrath nerfage.

..more than likely to help balance the Paladin class since it is one of their few combat/lagging options.

I think the change should stick, but I've modified it so that there is a chance a Controlled Trans or Wraithform mage can't shift into insubstantial form fast enough. The mage will have to make a dex check against a d50. So the shield bash will still happen more often than not, but the defense can be utilized sometimes as well.

And I think similar behavior should be utilized more with different buffs.

If only we had more developer time available.

It's like every time I feel better about CF, something like this happens.

It would have been nice if other coders didn't always say BY DESIGN.
