Is geyser not able to be stopped? Below is a log of it working after the 'elem noarea' command:

Selszar's cleave devastates Zatrigi the carver!
Zatrigi the carver is convulsing on the ground.

It can hit more than the target, which is somewhat unpredictable if you have have made the ELEM NOAREA choice. I can see why it looks like a bug; I have mixed feelings about changing it.
