When you examine this weapon it is type exotic but by the description it looks like it should be a sword.

Figured it was because of the age in which the area was written when there were no specs and exotics were the favored weapons of 9 out of 10 classes.. since a few of the nicer weapons in there are classified as exotics for apparently no reason.
Didn't even know Bolt was still around, PLEASE CHANGE IT BOLTTHROWER.
