So I tried this on multiple storm giants:
You cannot conceive of a way to usefully reanimate the embalmed guts of a merchant to harm a storm giant lumberjack.
You cannot conceive of a way to usefully reanimate the embalmed guts of a merchant to harm a war-weary storm giant.
You cannot conceive of a way to usefully reanimate the embalmed guts of a merchant to harm a young storm.

(This is why giving me exact echoes/situations is useful.)
And the problem is that for however many years, all storm giants (PCs and NPCs) had no heads.
