The Windborn Falcon
At the heart of the academy is a huge expanse of space. Troops are
drilled here, maneuvers are practiced, and weapons clash with a harsh racket.
Huge wood racks with every style practice weapon you can think of are on
either side of the entrance. A structure of sweet smelling pine creates the
battleground, a flat hard wood floor and a loose structure of open walls that
soar up fifty feet into the air. There are no windows here, just large
openings between wall sections that allow the brisk mountain breeze in to
ruffle the feathers of anyone who would take a chance and learn here.
Large mats are spread across the floor to offer a padded surface to fall
on. There is no ceiling here, just a lovely view of the sky.
