Wandering in the Desert
Something seems horribly wrong with the plant life here.
The night's bitter cold seems especially harsh.
A small scorpion stings your leg, leaving a painful wound!
You step back into three dimensions.
A scorpion's sting wounds you.
You feel very sick.

Since the torments of primordial vengeance are natural and 3-D for the most part, you can temporarily escape the effects by being 2-D.
