and covertly.

I don't step out of hiding when opening my saddle, but opening and closing doors is the same as always and I step out of the shadows. I have no idea if other people can see it in the room though.

IMPROVED HIDE
Syntax: Automatic Skill

This additional training in the art of hiding allows thieves to do more while
remaining in the shadows. For example, thieves with this level of skill have
been known to communicate with others and to open and close doors without
coming out of hiding.
