it says in the helpfile that once the paladin is in the stand, nothing can move them from that spot. Apparently it can be dispelled, is this by design? If so, could we change the helpfile to little can move them from that spot?

Yes. The effects of most communes can be dispelled. This is normal.
If so, could we change the helpfile to little can move them from that spot?
If it's dispelled, you're not in a Champion's Stand any more.
