13862, Chop blunt attack?

From what I can see chop seems to always be just blunt damage. Can't seem to exploit vulns with it. On a side note has anyone ever looked success rates for landing one? Even with 100% it misses a got 30-40% of the time.

Test: With a flaming polearm I was dealing fire-type damage messages, couldn't hurt through Fireshield, etc.
