Something triggers my adrenaline for no particular reason when I step out of the shadows and people catch me using the 'where' command. It's happened several times now but this is the only time I've logged it. This particular time I was trying to quit already so it was sort of annoying.

makes this alley so dark all the time. Better watch out for pickpockets.

The road runs past the southern entrance to the park here. A large gap in
the trees shows the lush green meadow beyond. The courtyard of the Temple
of the Sun lies to the south through a large gate. The park road continues
to the east and west.

Park Road
The High Road from the south splits here to go around the park as the Park
Road to the east and west. Large trees prevent you from venturing into the
park to the north. To the southwest lies the Temple of the Sun. The temple
is known all over Thera for its beauty.

High Road
This broad, cobblestone avenue has a strip of land covered with flowers
running down the middle of it. Here, it passes by the majestic Temple of
the Sun to the west on its way toward the park to the north. The High Road
continues toward the Market Square to the south.

High Road
The cobblestone avenue passes between the Paladin's Guild to the west and
the headquarters of the guard to the east. You feel a sudden urge to devote
yourself to being good. The road is well-kept through here as it passes from
the park to the north towards the market square to the south.


(Glowing) A brass lantern with a hood to keep the wind out lies here.
A merchant wanders around the docks, obviously lost.

Here the avenue connects with the market square to the south to form a
large, bustling place of commerce. A vegetable shop lies to the west while
a cartographer's store lies to the east. The road continues to the north.

Market Square
This bustling square lies at the intersection of the High Road and the
Trade Road. Traders from every city have come here to try to convince you
to buy their cheap wares. None of it is even worth a second glance. The
High road continues to the north and south and the Trade Road continues to
the east and west.

Trade Road
You stand on the main thoroughfare of Galadon. This road connects the east
and west gates and holds all the traffic coming from the western forests as
well as the traffic coming from Hamsah Mu'tazz to the east. Here, near the
market square, the crowds are overwhelming. You notice there is a fruit
stand to the north and an armory to the south. The market square lies to the
west and the road continues towards the east gate to the east.

Trade Road
You stand on the main thoroughfare of Galadon. This road connects the east
and west gates and holds all the traffic coming from the western forests as
well as the traffic coming from Hamsah Mu'tazz to the east. This is a fairly
calm stretch of the road. You notice there is a weaponsmith to the south and
the Warrior's Guild lies to the north. The road continues to the east and
west.

and west gates and holds all the traffic coming from the western forests as

branches to the north here. A large, festive inn lies to the south. The
road continues to the east and west.

Dark Alley
The alley forces its way between the Warrior's Guildhall and the trading
outpost. A small door behind the building to the east has a strange symbol
painted on it. The alley meets with the Market Road to the south and
continues to the north.

Entrance to the Assassin's Guild
You are standing in the entrance of a plain, but well-made building.
There is little decoration save for some small letterings over the door
into the Guild. A guard stands here to make sure you are worthy of
entering.


The corpse of the assassin lies here, burnt by some powerful energy.
The sliced-off leg of the assassin is lying here.

Assassin's Bar
The bar here is filled with ceremonial statues and banners. Exotic teas
and ouzo can be purchased here before entering the main hall of practice.
The furniture is plain, yet displays good craftmanship.


(Hide) The bartender moves with a dangerous fluidity.

Dojo
The room here is filled with several students and a few teachers
practicing their art. Practice weapons of every sort line the walls,
their use waiting to be taught. The air is filled with the smell of hard
work mixed with exotic incense. Shinan Pereira stands here keeping a
watchful eye on his students. The bar lies to the west.

If your guild is under attack, your bloody timer gets reset. Too many people would abuse that and quit out as soon as their guild got attacked.

That might screw assassins re: martial trance. Attack guild, guy can no longer trance even if he *wants* to fight the guild attacker.

Sorry to clutter up the board, but I had another thought about this. There's this transitional state for assassins where they can hide (at least in non-wooded areas) but still aren't allowed to quit or pass by guild guards. Maybe a guild attack should move them into that state, instead of all the way over to "you can't hide at all".

Nope. Pretty sure the quit & pass guards are tied together. I tried to use this as a fix, and I could still quit out as soon as the guild was comprimised.
