12724, Wise recovery bug?

I have owl of winter night to help with healing and used to be able to increase my HP via sleep even taking EVISCERATES from a maledict.
After taking the Wise Recovery Edge, this is no longer happening.

Some maledict will kill your regen, others will just cause set amount of damage (without killing/hampering regen)

Each of these are a total of two lines of code, and either change what the primary stat for healing is, or straight up multiply the healing. Not seeing any bug here.
