You cannot anoint Pure weapons, which all leader weapons are.

When last I checked, I think the sword and axe were both gold. The dagger and mace were wood and I haven't checked any of the others. Which I think is a hindrance to my savage playing style. Could they be made into bone or something similar instead of gold (which really seems inappropriate for Outlanders anyway).

They were the ones who came up with the weapons. Probably a gameplay board post.
