#56924, "Could an Imm weigh in on Sensei Buki?"

I am playing my firest assassin since the days when Sylvan was an active cabal and approaching decision time on Buki edges. I just wanted to verify an interpretation of a helpfile since my searches on the various forums have come up with conflicting answers.

For Sensei Buki, does skill with all weapons mean I can go into trance and wield a mace or axe or does it just mean I can defend against them as if I knew them at some skill %

If it does mean I can use other weapons... Does that include bows?

Here is the helpfile text

'SENSEI BUKI' (1259)
An assassin with this edge gains an instinctive skill with weapons of all
kinds while within the perfect calm of a martial trance.

An assassin may choose only one of the Buki edges.

SEE ALSO: EDGES, 'MARTIAL TRANCE'

So my answer is based on how I envision/described it. Grain of salt mode, activate!

Defend against - think the paladin virtue skill that allows them to parry axes, daggers, and spears as if they knew them at some skill %.
