But I'm pretty sure many of these logs contain active chars. It's basically too late now to remove them (two and a half days is plenty of time for them to have been read by most users of this forum), but in the future please read our rules about log posts.

This might be nuts from a coder standpoint (I really don't know), but what if, during character creation, people were asked if they would consent to logs of them being shown or not? Then, here in the log board, active character names would get posted in a file that would be accessible by any registered user. Next to their name would be just a simple YES or NO.

Obviously data is tracked in real time between the game and the forum (the battlefield is an example). This would be just one more statistic with one more output table. It could be done. You have the powa'!!!

(This would also be a LOT easier on old Twisty. You could just check at a glance and nuke a log if needed, rather than scout around for some character's approval that may or may not have been posted. To me, asking on the board for someone's approval is inefficient...)

Its a silly rule really. 99% of the community wont mind logs posted of them while they are still active. Atleast if its a good log and not something that puts them in a bad light.

I would rather see it the other way around. You can post logs, but then people who are in them can notch them down for deltion if they want them removed.

To some chars it simply isn't fair. As Aldonius, for instance, one really nice thing about having Maelstrom was opponents not knowing I had Maelstrom until it was too late. The Sananto log below is a good example - he kept dirting me and trying to disarm, and that's a fairly big reason why I ended up winning that fight (if he'd gone for pummels instead, for instance, I'd have been in a lot more trouble).

Other examples are shapeshifters who don't want folks to know their forms, paladins who don't want folks to know their faiths, and so on.

Not to mention if someone pulls a smoove maneuver that catches someone completely by surprise...if a log shows up the next day, that maneuver may not ever work again.

The stalks are densely packed here, though many are trampled or broken.
Perhaps the stalks overgrew the trail and the monks had to push through
them to reach the corn. Most of the stalks have been stripped of the ripe
ears of corn, leaving only the young ears to grow, and nothing that would
be edible to eat. Between the misty fog and the densely packed stalks it is
difficult to discern one direction from another.

This spell binds a conjured nightgaunt (the servitor) to the caster and
the target prey. The nightgaunt will fly off and hunt down the target,
