#575, "Looks like a Suicide"

I found this while going through some old logs. I think I posted it on Dio's, but I forgot what a great log it was. So I think worthy of being on here.
Uel was Elf Arcane Justiciar and this is one of those times on CF that really just flowed with emotion from the people involved.

Enjoy

****It all starts then I'm on Eastern road and I locate Kelin's corpse
****I go to investigate and find Tynnyn there.

In a Stunted Forest

A decrepit looking wooden bow lies here.
( 2) A small cake of unleavened bread lies here.
A small leather bracer rests here.
Red and blistered flesh covers the corpse of Kelin.
Nycoe is here.
(White Aura) Taninthel is here.
Darente is here.
(WANTED) Tynnyn is here.
Uelveyye's lieutenant has arrived.
Uelveyye's lieutenant has arrived.

You slap the manacles on Tynnyn.

Taninthel smirks.
Uelveyye's lieutenant yells 'Tynnyn is a CRIMINAL! PROTECT THE INNOCENT!!'
Uelveyye's lieutenant MUTILATES Tynnyn!
Uelveyye's lieutenant MUTILATES Tynnyn!
Uelveyye's lieutenant misses Tynnyn.
Uelveyye's lieutenant yells 'Tynnyn is a CRIMINAL! PROTECT THE INNOCENT!!'
Uelveyye's lieutenant DISMEMBERS Tynnyn!
Uelveyye's lieutenant's slash MUTILATES Tynnyn!
Uelveyye's lieutenant's slash devastates Tynnyn!
Uelveyye's lieutenant's slash devastates Tynnyn!

Tynnyn leaves west.
Tynnyn has fled!

You tell Tynnyn 'I would like to meet and deal with this issue, I do not like having my friend marked so'

Tynnyn tells you 'No kiddin, there.'

You tell Tynnyn 'choose the place then'

Tynnyn tells you 'Yer not goin' t'try and take me down?'

Tynnyn tells you 'I'll accept yer word if ya give it.'

You tell Tynnyn 'I will not hunt you, but we will settle this'

Tynnyn tells you 'I'll meet and speak with ya. You know th'inn in th'Jualdhe village?'

You tell Tynnyn 'aye'

Tynnyn tells you 'WHen I can get th'manacles off of my legs I'll get there.'

Uelveyye thanks her lieutenant for her faithful service.

You send Uelveyye's lieutenant back home.
Uelveyye's lieutenant stops following you.

Uelveyye thanks her lieutenant for her faithful service.

You send Uelveyye's lieutenant back home.
Uelveyye's lieutenant stops following you.

You tell Tynnyn 'I rest in the wind-filled shrine'

Tynnyn tells you 'I'll join ya shortly.'

Tynnyn tells you 'Show me th'respect by not havin' yer guards loomin' over us, eh?'

You tell Tynnyn 'no I have dismissed them '

Tynnyn has arrived.

You sigh as you think of him.

Tynnyn nods his huge head in greeting.

Tynnyn stops using a broad-headed silver hammer.

Tynnyn stops using a broad-headed silver hammer.

Tynnyn hangs his hammers on the hooks on his belt.

Tynnyn looks at you.

You say 'let us step down '

Tynnyn raises an eyebrow.

Tynnyn has arrived.

You say 'what I am to do with you?'

Tynnyn chuckles, smiling slightly.

Uelveyye chides you for your actions.

Tynnyn says 'Don't chide me fer doin' my duty.....'
You nod.

Tynnyn says 'My battles with Zarukian were spillin' in through th'gates.'

You say 'then you must not chide me for mine'

Tynnyn says 'So bloody heated I wasn't even aware we got into th'city.'

You say 'I have no wish to run around thera with a set of manacles with your name on'

Tynnyn says 'If yer wonderin' what happenend.'

You nod.
Tynnyn says 'I'll not take yer life, nor th'life of any elfin.'

You say 'yet my duty demands I must take yours'

Tynnyn says 'I was doin' nothin' wrong.'

You raise an eyebrow at the notion.

Tynnyn says 'Yer a good person, Uelveyye. But th'law is misguided.'

Tynnyn says 'Laws t'protect th'vile and darkhearted are corrupt.'

You say 'the law protects more than the dark'

Tynnyn says 'No kiddin', there.'

You say 'it is the burden I bear that it must protect them to protect the innocent'

Tynnyn snorts.

Tynnyn says 'Yer killin' me is protectin' th'innocent.'

Tynnyn says 'Zarukian, on of of th'most tainted bastards in Thera.'

Tynnyn looks grim as he prepares himself for battle.

Tynnyn kneels and utters the words, 'rroga'tara bal rroga'.
Tynnyn's form is obscured briefly by a mantle of brilliant silvery-white flames.

You say 'no my bringing you to justice fights the darkness, because I cannot stand by you side against them while you bear the mark'

Tynnyn says 'There's somethin' wrong with a law like that'

Tynnyn says 'Ya expect me t'give up my life because I ended th'darkwalkers?'

You say 'no I expect you to give it to further the fight against the dark'

Tynnyn says 'Nothin's keepin me from fightin' th'dark.'

You say 'will you become like Abthalok who has sworn to kill me'

Tynnyn says 'Perhaps ya missed th'giants corpse at my feet when ya burst in.'

You say 'I didn't miss it, that is what drew me there'

Tynnyn says 'Th'problem is'

Tynnyn says 'Is that th'tribunal are a mixed lot.'

Tynnyn says 'If they were all th'necromancers and tainted ones, th'Maran would have no troubles doin' their duty.'

Mendekith has arrived.
Iahlell has arrived.

Mendekith leaves up.
Iahlell leaves up.

<19 Human A-P> Mendekith the Complete Bastard

You say 'speaking of evil toadies'

<19 Human Nec> Iahlell the Grand Sorcerer

Tynnyn says 'Its th'good ones like you that make th'job difficult.'

You say 'yet it people like Kaebe and I that keep the Spire from becoming filled with self serving evils'

Tynnyn says 'If I was younger, eh. I'd have no trouble with layin' down my life for ya.

Tynnyn says 'I was doin' it often in my youth......no thoughts of mortality crossin' my mind back then.'

Tynnyn stretches, wincing slightly in pain as his shoulders creak.

Tynnyn says 'I'm gettin' older, eh.'

You say 'aye there are none of us getting any fewer wrinkles'

Tynnyn says 'I wish t'fight for th'light as long as I can. And that means not dyin' as often as I did.'

Tynnyn says 'WIll ya continue t'hunt me, Uelveyye?'

You say 'I would think one as noble as you would be granted the opportunity to gain better health'

Tynnyn chuckles at your joke.

Tynnyn says 'Perhaps it'll happen, eh.'

Tynnyn says 'Whose t'say.'

Tynnyn says 'If ya ask me t'lay down my life, I'll not deny you'

Tynnyn says 'But if ya demand it as tribunal, I'll bloody knock ya out cold and run again.

Entrancehall
An empty, barren room confronts you. The floor is mottled grey, as if
with dust and age. Bookcases line the room, but only a handful of shelves
remain in them, and there are no books or scrolls to be seen. A simple
stairway leads up, further into the shrine, if such a place could yet
be called a shrine. You may escape this wordless place down the stairs
to the south, as well.

(WANTED) Tynnyn is here.

Tynnyn says 'And I'm wishin' ya hadn't done that. If they're bein' scions, th'hoarde willk now where I am.'

You say 'I will send you home'

Tynnyn gets a water skin from the girdle of endless space.

Tynnyn says 'Nah'

Tynnyn says 'I'm livin' in Tar Valon'

Mendekith has arrived.
Iahlell has arrived.

Mendekith looks at Tynnyn.

Mendekith looks at you.

Mendekith leaves down.
Iahlell leaves down.

Tynnyn says to you 'I was goin' t'suggest that we walk elsewhere...'

You say 'its a reflexive thing'

Tynnyn glances meaningfully at the chains tied about his ankles.

Your cheeks are burning.

** *we move to another location
Tynnyn sits down and rests.

You nod.

Tynnyn says 'Now as I was sayin''

Tynnyn says 'If ya ask me as an old friend t'lay down my life, I'd gladly give it up fer ya, elfin.'

Tynnyn says 'But if yer demandin' as a tribunal because of th'crimes I've commited, yer goin' t'have t'work for it.'

You say with a quiver of emotion 'if we were not friends my task and job would be so easy'

Tynnyn chuckles politely.

Tynnyn claps you lightly on the back.

Uelveyye glares at you her eyes starting to brim.

Tynnyn says 'I'd much rather have yer friendship than make yer job easy.

Tynnyn says 'Uelveyye....I'm goin' t'make it easy on ya'

Tynnyn stands up.

Tynnyn's hands flash brilliantly as he forges pure light into a shimmering white longsword!

Uelveyye wipes the single silver tear from her eye.

Tynnyn wields a shimmering white longsword.

Tynnyn says 'SO that I may continue my fight, and ya can continue t'do your duty without worryin' about me.'

Tynnyn turns the blade around in his hands and places the tip against his chest.

Tynnyn closes his eyes and, falling foward, impales himself on the blade.

Tynnyn mutters something quietly to himself.

Tynnyn gasps in astonishment.

Tynnyn says 'Hard t'do.'

Tynnyn mutters something quietly to himself.

Tynnyn closes his eyes, shaking slightly.

Tynnyn says 'Just need a moment t'gather myself, eh.'

You say with a voice thick with emotion 'not for my job, but for our friendship'

Uelveyye fondly touches your check with her delicate hand.

Tynnyn looks at you.

Uelveyye tries to compose herself.

Tynnyn reaches up and encompases your hand in his own.

Tynnyn says 'Dunna worry, friend.'

Tynnyn says 'When th'Maran succeed...they'll be no need fer any of this.'

You say trying to muster some humor 'how would it look with me holding hands with a wanted criminal'

Tynnyn chuckles politely.

You say 'I will be glad of that day'

Tynnyn releases your hand gently.

Tynnyn says 'Yah.....I'm wishin' ya would have joined my battle, Uelveyye.'

Tynnyn says 'Th'Fortress'd be that much brighter with you in it.'

Tynnyn looks grim as he prepares himself for battle.

You say 'we each fight how we can'

Tynnyn nods slightly.

You say 'my path led elsewhere'

Tynnyn rises slowly to his feet.

Producing a small rag from his pocket, Tynnyn uses it to rub a shimmering white longsword clean.

Losing the will to live, Tynnyn commits suicide.

You sob quietly to yourself.

Tynnyn has arrived.

Tynnyn says 'Yah..'

Uelveyye turns away trying to hide the tears streaming down her face.

Tynnyn frowns, his own eyes shimmering.

Tynnyn reaches over and embraces you gently, careful to not use too much of his strength.

Uelveyye buries her face in your chest and sobs.

Tynnyn says softly 'Its in th'past, eh....I'm used t'fallin.'

Tynnyn says softly 'Just never done it at my own hands before.

You say haltingly ''ii..it ne..never cease to t....test my heart'

Tynnyn says softly 'We each have t'deal with th'pain our decisions bring us.....'

Tynnyn says softly 'It never gets any easier.....'

Uelveyye holds on to you tightly till the storm of her anguish subsides.

Tynnyn says softly 'And if it did, I'd worry that my own heart was hardenin'.'

Tynnyn nods.

Uelveyye pushes herself out of your embrace and tries to regain her composure.

Tynnyn says 'Thank ya, old friend, for givin' me th'chance t'at least speak with ya.'

Tynnyn says 'It was a horrible feelin' bein' set upon like that, in th'Dwarf forest......'

Uelveyye wipes her tear-stained face.

Tynnyn says to you 'If it was anyone but you, I'da just done what I do t'those of th'light who are misguided...'

You say trying to laugh 'I was as quite suprised to find you there'

Tynnyn says 'You were surprised, eh!'

Tynnyn says 'I get done smashin' th'shaman and Trajeona's just fleein' when you bust in.'

Uelveyye takes a small embroidered hankerchief from her robe.

Uelveyye blows her nose a resounding honk.

Tynnyn winces slightly, trying his best to hide it.

Tynnyn sighs, sitting back against the wall.

We had a real long fight near High-Lords, I had a healer in tow, and you put on a real good show. Hopin you might have that somewhere. (Scion)

Man that brings me back. We RUMBLED alot. I remember distinctly a few times which made Abthalok pretty much decide that you were evil and needed to die One being while I was praying to Shokai, you busted in and damned near killed me. Another time is when I was bitch ranking some Marans in Shadar and you rolled in. I think I was able to get one of them out before dying as you nuero'ed the crap out of me while I was tanking. The other two promptly died. That sealed it in Abthalok's eyes that you were evil.

I used to carry a wicked iron sword, just for you and wear it before I recalled

All and all it was fun and added an interesting facet to the char.

I think my old Paladin once took his life in some way like this. Not sure if it was to a tribunal, or if he lost the love of his life... My best moments back then inbetween all the "oocness".

This is great! Wish I saw more of this when playing. heh
