Chapter 0

Scharnz has come across something foreign to him.
In his fight against the darkness and taint, he has fought in cities.
In doings so he has become warranted which he accepts as it is usally Lemath or Baendra.
However he has found that Caelestis and Terop, two bastions of the light seek his death.
Terop with the help of a deceiving thief killed Scharnz while he was warranted. Amazed and
confused, he tried to reason with Terop, but Terop only replied that he was doing his job.
Angered that a warrior of the light would kill a fellow comrade for no other reason that doing his job,
Schanrz lectured him on his betrayal for something as petty as a job. Scharnz sees Terop as selfish,
only looking out for himself and his so called job. He will try to avoid Terop and Caelestis, another
walker of the light who struck Thenrek as Scharnz does not wish to have to hurt them, but their presence
brings strong emotions of frustration. He cannot conceive why they would seek to protect the darkness,
and harm the light.

Chapter 1

After a great battle against imperials with the help of Nhiala,
Scharnz spoke with her and was inducted into the Fortress as a Squire.
He was overjoyed at finally finding what his dwarves friends had been
speaking of for such a long time. Scharnz has made new friends and hopes one
day to fight alongside his Captain and Marshall.

Chapter 2

In his travels, Scharnz came across the coffinmaker in Galadon.
After speaking with him, Scharnz came to understand that the coffinmaker
rarely had customers. Scharz saw no evil in this man and wished him well.
However, in his future travels and attempts to bring about the wishes of his
dwarven friend, Scharnz often associates death with coffins and helping the coffinmaker's business.
Surely Scharnz understood the repurcussions of death and did not take it lightly,
but perhaps the image of helping his friend the coffinmaker helped him cope with
the brutal tasks he was forced to commit as a result of others actions.

Chapter 3

Time went with Scharnz running simple errands for the dwarves, content
to be of some kind of help. However he soon found himself feeling more comfortable
hiding in the shadows, than out in the cool air where the dwarves could see him.
It was not that Scharnz disliked the dwarves, but that he envied these people and did not see
himself as their equal. One day he realized something was amiss in the dwarven
settlement. Before he could find out more, a dwarf he had come to know well came to
him and told him that he must go. "We beh preparin' to leave also" he said.
Scharnz, shocked and saddened lowered his gaze. The dwarf seeing the despair on the face
of the felar took his paw and looked him in the eye.
"Seek out that there Fortress to the South. Ther' beh great dwarves, men, birds and evil elves
that gather thereabouts. They'll teach yer a thing or two I'd bet."
With that, the dwarf turned and left. Scharnz gathered his things and set out,
ever seeking this Fortress the dwarf had spoken of.

Chapter 4

Scharnz never knew his parents, and it is suspected that he was abandoned.
What is known is that a band of travelling merchant dwarves found him on their
return journey from Hamsah to the Icewind Dale their home. They found Scharnz bruised and
near death from starvation. The dwarves took him in and brought him with them
to their home west of Udgaard. There Scharnz lived with the dwarves. It would be a stretch
to say the dwarves raised him as they taught him little, and spoke with him rarely,
but they kept him alive. For this Scharnz would always have a soft spot for dwarves.
They taught him little in the ways of speech and Scharnz picked up what he heard from others.
In the icewind dale he developped a resistant to the cold as he became used to
the cold wintery nights.
