Chapter 18

Lochzan has always believed that he can best serve his Lord's
will within the Spire. However those of the Tribunal are not the
only ones seeking to spread Order in the lands. Not all have the
strength or conviction necessary to see that Justice is done, and
that order is preserved within the Spire. Even the weak, however,
must serve Lord Khasotholas without question. As all Thera slowly
conforms to his Lord's will, Lochzan knows that eventually the
two orders must unite. In time, the law of the Tribunal will be
unquestioned in the lands, and the Empire will serve the Spire
directly. Until then though, the weaker masses need guidance.
Lord Khasotholas watches over them and grants them his wisdom.
Lochzan knows the Empire will come under the control of the Spire
in time. He slowly seeks to become the true leader of the sect of
Divines, though He does not have any plan to join the Empire
itself.

Chapter 19

It was not long ago that many would have called Lochzan a knight
of the light. At one point he even believed it himself. His quest
for order began because he wished to be a benefactor of the
general populace. He believed that he could simply preserve
Justice and all would have happier and better lives. There were
too many though who battled against the order he formed, and more
still that simply did not care. Lochzan saw that no matter how
much care and compassion he gave to them it was not respected or
returned. And so he grew indifferent, he saw them only as tools
so aid society and the order he formed. Creating better lives for
those around him was no longer the reason he sought to create
order. Lochzan no longer allowed himself to be controlled and
limited by his faith in the light. It had caused him hesitation
and weakness. His caring for those he protected and pity for
those of chaos blinded him. By the will of Lord Khasotholas, he
was at last purged of the taint that was in his heart. As first,
he only saw his newfound ideology as only a tool, but he came to
enjoy it more than anything before. Lochzan found that nothing
brought him more joy than hearing the anguished screams of the
enemies of the Spire. All forms of chaos and lawlessness would be
purged as his perfect order spreads throughout Thera. There is no
end to what Lochzan is willing to do in the name of his order,
and nothing he will allow to stand in his way.

Chapter 20

Lochzan had joined some others to travel into the duergar mines
within the underdark. They went to free the various slaves the
duergar were keeping. As they passed through the mines Lochzan
was surprised by his feelings, he felt no compassion for the
slaves, no desire to free them. At first he could not understand
why, but he realized that the ones they had enslaved had once
wandered free, with no real purpose or ambition. Now that they
were forced to work, they had been given meaning. These slaves
had been allowed to be part of something greater. It mattered not
that their free will had been stripped from them. They had at
least been given some home in their miserable lives. Lochzan
realized that there was hope for those upon the surface as well.
As chaos was purged from the land, those who had proven to be of
no use to order before could be made to serve it. They would come
to see how blind they had been and what great things lay before
them.

Chapter 21

Lochzan had begun to feel trapped within the Spire. He was
disappointed with its lack of growth, and frustrated with its
ideals. He had even considered departing from the spire
completely. He realized though that it was not his place to find
order, but to create it himself. If the order was to gain power
the spire would need to be reformed. False beliefs about its
ideologies would need to be swept away. The belief of many within
the spire that chaos only needs to be held back and not
obliterated must to change. In time the spire will be reborn and
those of chaos will cower in fear at its mere mention.

Chapter 22

Lochzan has begun to loose hope in the general populace. They
seem wholly unable to make the right decisions for themselves.
While they do not directly aid chaos, they clearly impede the
strengthening of order. They tend to lead lives with little
direction, doing whatever they please rather than that which will
elevate Order to true greatness. For him, it is as if he must
wade through a thick swamp in pursuit of his every goal. Lochzan
has lost his will to coddle and aid civilization. He continues to
do so more out of a feeling of obligation than truly caring. He
feels it is a person's duty to become a meaningful part of the
order that will watch over Thera. Many seem to resist this duty,
too blind to see that it is for their own good. Removing those
who resist would be not only cruel, but harmful to the order. To
Lochzan the future appears rather bleak as he searches for a way
to create the order he desires.

Chapter 23

Lochzan has based his entire life around structure and order. He
does nothing without some purpose and meaning. Doing anything
else would be a futile waste. Though he is generally quite
amiable, he can become quickly frustrated by those who do not
show the utmost respect for what he holds dear. He also tends to
become enraged when he fails himself. For those who violate or
stand against order there is only one option, the most severe of
punishments. Lochzan has spent a great deal of his life searching
for how best to form his legacy as a champion of order. He has
chosen service to the law of the great cities to make his name.
