A Trail Along the Side of a Large Mountain
You are standing on a trail winding along the northeastern side of a rather
large mountain. The trail itself is rather unimpressive, little more than a
dirt path where the grass has been worn down by repeated footsteps, swerving
its way through a narrow gap in the forest of northern pine trees which cover
the mountainside. The forest itself is strangely quiet, broken only by the
sounds of a few insects and the occasional song of a small bird. Off to the
side of the path, verdant green grass grows between the myriad trees, forming
a lush carpet for the forest floor. The trail continues along the side of
the mountain to the north and east, while the forest continues up the sloping
side of the mountain.

abreast. It appears to be newly paved with flagstones from the nearby river
Nanthor - no wheel ruts mar its surface, the stones still appear rounded and
textured, and the earth along the edges appears to be freshly churned dirt.
The land is hilly, and large expanses of trees stretch as far as the eye can
