I've found it pretty useful against healers that don't have a nightwalker or tons of progged items. Not to kill them, because if they come at you prepped and are smart you have no chance of that one on one. More to convince them to leave you alone. Yes you can throw out damage, but you probably can't throw out enough to kill them before they word. And they aren't exactly an offensive threat to kill you. Dent off a few items and they'll think twice about pestering you all the time.
