Role

Chapter 1

Soft rays of moonlight created a speckled show of light on the forest
floor, as a young fela hunts her first animal. The forest covering is
thick, and as she passes through each splotch of light, her black fur,
much like that of a panther, is seen. It isn't long before she catches
up with her prey, a small rabbit. She watches silently, waiting for the
perfect moment to strike, until she watches it's ears twitch ever so
slightly. In an instant she pounces, thrust her spear right at the
rabbit. Her yellowish ears look around confused as her spear digs into
nothing but earth, and she watches the rabbit sprint away.

As she pulls her spear from the dirt and sits down, another dark felar
walks out of the shadows of the woods. "Not every hunt is successful,
but more will be with practice." He sits next to his daughter, basking
in the warm breeze. "Don't worry, you'll learn more and more, and soon
hunting a rabbit will seem like child's play to you." Suzeri looked up
at him and gave him a warm smile, the last smile she ever had, she
realizes, as suddenly his face twist's and contorts. She feels heat,
unbearable heat, as she lets out a silent scream. The forest is burning,
her father is burning, and soon she will be.

Suzeri's shoots out of her sleep, and frowns. Another nightmare. She
shivers, almost still feeling the heat from the flames, as she looks at
the swamps she was hiding in. Ever since the Imperials came, in their
quest to dominate and subjugate, her life has been pain. Her family was
dead, her home burned, and everytime she tried to find another, she was
cast out, or it, too, was burned. So finally she left on her own. No
longer would she seek a home, she would create it. She would hunt all
those who cling to their civilization, showing them the anger, the wrath
of nature. She would become it's embodiment, and destroy all who cling
to their false safeties. Suzeri is the approaching storm.
