The difference is in who lands the killing blow. Getting the 12 exp on the ones Codus kills is more than it would have been before I fixed that up a bit. You need to be fighting things that both of you find useful, just like in a regular group. Stretching the boundaries of grouping doesn't usually pay off big dividends.
