Over the course of the next few weeks, we are going to make some changes
to bring Empire up to date with the current climate of the mud.

Changes made so far:

All donations are now coin based only.
Amounts needed for promotion have been slashed drastically to compensate.
Demotions are less painful.

I think the reasoning for some of these changes speaks for itself,
the least of which would be to stop encouraging full looting for the
sake of donations.

As the mud these days is changing, especially in the area of standardization
and commerce, we will continue to make adjustments to keep the Empire
donation system in balance with the rest of the mud. Please direct

But it sounds like a solid change to me especially reintroducing bounty into the scene it just MIGHT give the emperials something to do.

Do they have a lower cost now for calling as an Imperial and do they now cost less to get past or do I still loot Imperial booty to bribe them with items?

It costs less money now to use any of the Empire powers that feed off donations, including centurions.

Paying centurions is currently still the same, but we probably should take another good look at costs on that as well.
