885, A small pile of automated quests.

This is part of an ongoing project to introduce more quests to the game. (And train Qaledus, Amaranthe, and Kastellyn to write quests. They did the bulk of the development here!) While we're always encouraging our staff to run more custom-made quests, automated quests create a lot of fun things to do.

The batch that just went in all aim at low-level characters, maybe 1-10 or 11-20, and thus begin in highly accessible areas. It's possible for a hero to do at least one of the quests if it tickles them, but the rewards are designed to be good at level 1-20, so it may not be worth their time in that sense. We're aiming these low because in many ways low-level characters can have "less to do", since they can't survive in many places. It's also handy for marketing the game-- presently a lot of our coolest content was designed for the hero range, and a casual player can't access a lot of it.

This batch in particular has an economy bent to it-- they all involve ways to make money (or its equivalent) in a finitely repeatable fashion, among other rewards.

Some IC hints have been sprinkled around, and some of the NPCs involved in the quests respond to basic questions via sayto. That support is still in progress, but we thought we could debut the first pile of quests and phase that in as we go.

More where this came from in the coming weeks. Qaledus, Kastellyn, and Amaranthe developed the bulk of this content, and they know I'm lurking in the shadows with my whip!
