I'm not sure I'm understanding the question you're asking, but here goes:

We wear two hats (more than two, but let's say two) as imms:

1) Game administrator (OOC)
2) Immortal character (IC)

Stuff I see as a mortal I readily use wearing the first hat, but not the second.
