There were echoes explaining his disappearance, and they're probably somewhere if you dig around. IC, it's something along the lines of he had an argument with Dalteric and thereafter chose to hibernate and/or absent himself from the cares of the world for a while.

OOC, Dalteric had Trib pretty well covered at the time and we needed the energies of Marmaanth's player much more desperately for other things, and being a heck of a team player they redirected said energies to fill said desperate needs.
