Both, I heard during the few hours spent on IRC a number of years ago.

While lag does not effect 99% of mobs, there are certain mobs in hell that call reinforcements...unless they are lagged...and are one of a very few mobs in the game where lagging them actually helps....and the imm group that was the first to reach satan KNEW this and actually used lagging commands on this mob instead of normal anti-mob commands, which was one of the main reasons they were able to get past that point where some player groups had failed.

Gareth? (not sure I'm remembering the name right). Well, his tat actually let the wearers use a form of "goto;murder" on evils....but the only people to ever get his tat were on his ICQ list...
