I can't get this part to resolve at all.

Fredegar Thistleknot doesn't do his part.

You are standing in the middle of the general store, or at least you guess
that is what this is. There are things of all sorts scattered about on the
shelves, and the proprietor smiles at you as you walk in and asks if there is
anything he can help you find. There is a counter behind which the proprietor
stands watching everyone who walks in so he can catch the young halflings who
try to play pranks on him from time to time.


Smiling broadly, the shopkeeper welcomes you into his store.

and mouth. He looks a bit rotund as if he eats too much of the tasty
treats he sells here. He smiles at you and shows you the various things
