#69604, "Imagine an enemy right around a corner"

who is about to rush you, and you want to get first strike, so you sit there and spam "pincer enemyname" or "charge enemyname" or whatever.

Now suppose it's an unseen enemy and you don't know who, or a shapeshifter and you don't know what form they will use. No problem, you can spam "pincer 1.", right? It'll give you a bunch of funny no-lag echoes about how it's "very funny", and when someone enters you will pincer them!

Piece of advice: don't do it with spells or communes.

com wither 1.
Your memory of wither is impaired as you call the wrath of your god down upon yourself!
Your memory of wither is impaired as you target yourself!
You are wracked with pain as you rip away years of your life!
Your withering DISMEMBERS you!

####.
And so much for -110 saves.

That's about as lame as tesline accidentally deleting.
Oh well, I hated playing a shaman anyway.

You could lightning bolt yourself, no problem. This was originally changed when everyone would damage themselves with some spell to avoid getting assassinated (before assassins were revamped to require stalking). You've never been able to use an offensive skill to damage yourself, though that I know of.
