37th level rangers now camo to protect 23rd level mobs? Come on. Emerald would be a great place for baddies to rank, but you go and nerf it. Why oh why nerf Emerald Forest of all places? It's a bit silly to make the rangers assist the dryads, don't you think, or any of the other mobs.

Take the assist off. Give baddies this ranking spot back, because there were a lot of good fights there. Now it's pretty dead, for the most part. What was your biggest issue with it? It wasn't an insanely easy ranking area, comparatively. You want an easy ranking area, go to the Forbidden Forest, which should probably be nerfed if you're making ALL ranking tougher.

They've done this for a while now. Makes it better imho, and yes, I've died there to the ranger because of the change.

So? Baddies can now rank of evil mobs now and that is a far bigger plus than camo'ing rangers is a minus.

I've ranked my last two evils there since the changes. It is fine once you work out where the rangers are.

I'm guessing it was that more and more mobs in Thera use the skills of their class. Warrior mobs are getting specs. Mobs are assisting each other in Udgaard (where they also patrol). Changing rangers is just keeping to this theme.

There are a few differences between the two. Forbidden forest has a maze, and only 2 exits, one of which leads into another maze. Emerald has 3 exits, none of which are mazes. I don't think ranking is nerfed at all though. One area is harder, but you can now rank quickly in all the areas goodies like to use as well.

Huh? Rangers protecting forest denizens of the same ethos and moral alignment is 'silly'?

This isn't a remotely recent change. From the oddly named 'help recent':

2001/09/29 Be wary, protectors of the wild (eg. Rangers and forest guardians) have become more militant in defending wildlife.

It's still possible to rank there if you think it through. I'd be more specific, but your attitude got tired years ago.

So they messed up Emerald for non-rangers. They also added an area that I much prefer. So it's all good.

for rangers too. Nobody comes to rank there, so rangers get something to kill.
