#3494, "Eight invoker path: Time"

I would not add any affinity points, thus making an 8-path invoker (practically) unplayable. Just an idea I was working on.

"Time Heals All Wounds"
Like regular sleep except that time flows at double speed. Hp, mana, moves are restored twice as fast. Poison or plague also have double effect. In short: every hour has the effect of two hours (good or bad). Disadvantage is that the character ages twice as fast as well, while under it’s effect.

"Blast of Aging"
This blast causes the victim’s body to age considerably. Though it is only temporary, the shock disrupts the body, causing damage.

"Time Capsule"
Caster cannot move or perform any action (including talking) except step out of the capsule. While under it’s influence the caster does not regenerate, but cannot be harmed in any way. Can be dispelled as normal. (Considerable lag for caster)

"Timeshield" *
Protects against anything that increases age and against Time Path spells.

"Shield of the Ages" *
The character’s aging is reduced and the caster is slowed (like the spell).

"Time Stop"
Everyone within the same room as the caster is lagged for 6-10 rounds, (caster 3 rounds, 4 if failed), allowing the invoker to perform certain actions without being disturbed.
Can only be cast once for a set amount of time (1 week), and chance of creating a time paradox, severely damaging the caster. (Does not affect people who entered the room after it’s cast)

*Cannot be combined with Time Heals All Wounds

The Lyceum has our elemental scheme. In the interest of not making the invoker class a 'kitchen sink', we're sticking to that.

Not to diss you or anything, but have you ever played an invoker, or for that matter, transmuter?

Also known as slow/metabolic slowing. Invokers will never have slow as a spell, that I'm fairly sure of.

AKA haste on crack. I think this would be more in line for a transmuter or temporal mage (good old blue mage).

I'd file this under overpowered.

I don't see how this ties in with an invoker. An invoker deals with elemental forces. Heat, cold, acid, lightning etc. Time isn't the same sort of thing at all. If anything, this would be something to give to a different class, imho.

There are theories of Fire, Earth, Wind(Air), Water being the four (main) elements, Time being the fifth one tying each together.

But yes, that's debatable.
