Penning scrolls will automatically trim. That is, remove all leading and trailing spaces. The problem is, of course, there is little flexibility in what exactly we want to pen...perhaps we would like to do a 'watermark' or icon or something like that penned (via ascii 'art').

Any chances of getting rid of trim?

Try putting a mark at the lead of each line.

. This is my story
. And I'm sticking to it.

That's what I use to space things out. You could also use another character that would act as a border to your writings...
